Troubleshooting

What you see	What to do
Nothing is recorded	Reload the page after installing the extension and press Start again. Check you are not on a chrome:// page.
Cannot find package 'playwright-core'	Run npm install in the bugtrail folder.
Executable doesn't exist	Run npx playwright-core install chromium.
page mismatch: expected ... found ...	The site sent you elsewhere, often a login page. Record with Include session values, or log in first.
element not found	The page changed since recording. Record again, or open the HTML report to see the screenshot.
masked value needs a secret	Supply the password through BUGTRAIL_SECRETS. See Replay.
upload needs file paths	Supply BUGTRAIL_FILES.
The extension is out of date after git pull	Click the reload arrow on BugTrail Recorder in the extensions page.
